LIGHTS ON!

**If you find this message useful, make sure to leave a rating at the bottom - it's very quick and simple!**

Good morning!

Sunset this evening is 16:03, and with the dark nights comes vulnerability at home for our residents. Homes left in darkness in the late afternoon and early mornings whilst householders are still at work leads to criminals looking for houses that are empty and open to burglary.

This autumn and winter, think LIGHTS ON to keep your home safe this November.

L – Leaving a couple of lights on in your home will help make it look occupied.

I – Invest in some timer switchers. These will turn lamps and radios on and off for you.

G – Gadgets are available which fit into bayonet light fittings which will turn your main lights on and off.

H – Help keep your energy bills down by using energy saving light bulbs.

T – Thieves are more likely to target homes which appear unoccupied.

S – Secure your home by locking all windows and doors before you go out.

O – Only tell the people you trust if your home will be empty for a period of time.

N – Now you have made your home more secure, share this information with friends and family.

Stay safe,
