On 22/11/2024 at around 00:05 a black Fiat Punto was spotted by officers in Aldergate, Tamworth for which the driver appeared to panic at seeing a marked Police car and immediately parked up and began walking away from the vehicle.

Officers stopped the driver, who smelt heavily of alcohol, and a breath test was conducted wherein the driver blew more than twice the legal limit.

The 32 year old female, from Tamworth, was arrested for drink driving and has been charged with the offence.

She has since been released on bail pending a court appearance in the near future.
