Stafford Police are warning residents to remain vigilant following reports of a suspicious male on Green Road, Weston, this afternoon (Monday 25th November 2024). The individual, described as wearing a high-visibility jacket, was seen taking photos of a house and claimed to be from Severn Trent Water. However, when approached, he was unable to provide identification to confirm his affiliation with the company.

We urge residents to take the following precautions:

1. Always ask for official identification from individuals claiming to represent utility companies.

2. If in doubt, contact the company directly to verify their identity. Use official contact numbers, not those provided by the individual.

3. Report any suspicious behaviour to Staffordshire Police immediately.

Patrols have increased around the area, we would like to ask the community of Weston and surrounding areas to be vigilant and make sure all properties & vehicles are locked, secured and alarmed where possible.
