Blythe Crime update


Dear Resident,

Here are the Reported Crimes on Blythe from Wednesday 20th November – Thursday 28th November 2024.

Burglary.

No Burglaries/attempted burglaries have been reported.

Theft of Motor Vehicle.

21/11/24 between 00.00 x 09.00am a Toyota Rav 4 AWD with stolen without keys from Rumbush Lane, Earlswood.

23/11/24 between 00.30 - 01.30am a black vinyl wrapped Land Rover Defender with an orange roof and a white Ford Ranger were stolen without keys off the same driveway off Warings Green Road, Blythe. Their Ring Door Bell’s signal was believed to of been jammed between times of the offence, as no CCTV.

24/11/24. 00.00 - 12.54PM a silver Range Rover Sport has stolen without keys from Dickens Heath Road. A brick and broken glass were left at the scene. 

24/11/24 6pm - 25/11/24 7.50am. After getting a puncture A grey Ford Fiesta parked up on Cut Throat Lane junction of Dyers Lane. After returning the next day the vehicle had been stolen.

 

Theft from motor vehicle.

21/11/24. 2.30am a front registration plate was stolen off a vehicle parked on Salter Street, by St. Patricks Church of England Primary Academy, Earlswood.

 

Please fit a steering lock as an extra layer of security to protect your vehicle. 

Darker nights are here. Please set your alarm if fitted. Leave lights on or use light timers. Never leave your house in darkness. 

Ongoing patrols are continuing. Thank you to the residents who are helping Police with their investigations. 

Please use anti-tamper screws available from most vehicle spares shops to secure your number plates securely to your vehicle.

  • Ensure that all shrubs and hedges do NOT encroach the maximum height of 1m and Tree canopies are lifted to 1.8m. This allows for maximum natural surveillance.

  • Ensure that all fences are the same height as smaller fencing abutting higher fencing acts as a potential climbing aid for offenders.

  • Ensure that all garden furniture is stored away in a garden shed along with any tools to avoid aiding offenders in committing burglary.

  • Ensure that Wheelie Bins are not stored near to fences and are chained together to prevent them from being used as climbing aids or storing objects in that may aid an offender to commit a crime.
