Burglary 

On 26th November 2024, unknown offenders have used an implement to break the locks and force open the garage door and have stolen items on Robin Close.

Between 26th November – 27th November 2024, unknown offender/s have snapped the lock to the rear patio doors and have stolen a Mini One with keys on Anglesey Avenue.

On 26th November 2024, unknown offender/s have gained access to the rear of the property and have stolen items on Corncrake Drive.

Theft of motor vehicle 

Between 21s November – 22nd November 2024, unknown offender/s have stolen a secure unattended Vauxhall Mokka on Green lane.

Theft from a motor vehicle - There have been no reports of Theft from a motor vehicle, since 22nd November 2024.

Interference with a motor vehicle – There have been no reports of Interference with a motor vehicle, since 22nd November 2024. 

Castle Bromwich

Burglary 

On 24th November 2024, unknown offender/s have snapped the lock to the rear of the property and have stolen a VW T-ROC with keys on Wentworth Avenue.

Theft of motor vehicle –

On 24th November 2024, unknown offender/s have stolen a secure unattended Ford Focus on Wyckham Road.

Theft from a motor vehicle – There have been no reports of Theft from a motor vehicle, since 22nd November 2024.

Interference with a motor vehicle – There have been no reports of Interference with a motor vehicle, since 22nd November 2024.

Kingshurst 

Burglary 

On 22nd November 2024, unknown offender/s have snapped the lock to the rear of the property and have stolen a Cupra Formentor with keys on SCHOFIELD ROAD.

On 28th November 2024, unknown offender/s have used a unknown implement to force entry to the front door of the property on Kingshurst Way.

Theft of motor vehicle 

On 21st November 2024, unknown offender/s have have stolen a secure unattended Ford Kuga on Dunton Road.

Theft from a motor vehicle– There have been no reports of Theft from a motor vehicle, since 22nd November 2024.

Interference with a motor vehicle – There have been no reports of Interference with a motor vehicle, since 22nd November 2024. 

What’s been happening? Good news

Earlier in the week Smithswood Officers conducted a county lines input at the Forest Oak School in Smithswood, speaking to students of its perils and about spotting warning signs.

Smithswood Officers have also been out on Beechcroft Road testing out our pro laser speed gun to ensure it is working ready for planned operations.

The team have conducted multiple arrests this week. Two males were arrested for multiple shop thefts around the area. One of these males were also arrested for a breach of their Criminal behaviour Order. Both were remanded for court the next day. We also arrested a male in Erdington for Engaging in Controlling and Coercive Behaviour against a female in Kingshurst. This was a serious domestic abuse offender who remained unfound for some time.

We have also been conducting are usual patrols around the area. We have seized a further two vehicles since last week, both for showing no tax. They had both been untaxed since June 2024, but the drivers unfortunately continued to use them on the road.
