Update on Priorities

Hemel Hempstead Town Centre Priority - Priority survey for the area has suggested that anti-social behaviour and drug related issues are on the increase within Hemel Hempstead town centre. This includes Marlowes and High Street.

Op Hotspot is currently running in the location. It provides extra foot patrols and increased visibility, on top of normal daily business. It has led to multiple arrests being made, weapons being recovered and ASB powers being utilised.

Hemel Hempstead West Priority - During the priority survey, there has been a noticed increase in nuisance vehicle usage along the following roads - Long Chaulden, Northridge Way, Beechfield Road, Warners End Road

The Police and Crime Commissioner speed van has been deployed in the areas of concern. Local officers have seen a decrease of incidents being reported. Feedback from the residents in the area is showing that nuisance vehicles has decreased.

Hemel Hempstead North Rural Priority - There has been an increase in anti-social behaviour around High Street, Markyate. This has included reports of shopliftings from the local stores.

Increased local officer presence, including beat surgeries and walks around the village. Officers have actively spoken to many residents to get their feedback. Attended the parish council meeting and linked in with local businesses to increase the partnership working.
