A Damage to  Motor Vehicle occurred on 01/12/2024 00:01-01:00 at Main Street East Ayton, near to the bridge over the River Derwent. The vehicle a Ford Transit van was parked in a layby on Main Street when an unknown male has smashed both wingmirrors, the windscreen wipers damaged and cracked and the paintwork damaged. There were two road signs which along with damaged van parts have been thrown into the River Derwent from the bridge. 

A male has been seen described as White with short dark hair, wearing smart casual clothing. It is possible he has left a nearby party or public house and was suffering the effects of alcohol. 

Please can residents check their CCTV for any footage for around this time to see if any suspect/s have been captured on CCTV..
