Officers from Burnley Neighbourhood policing team have been out with the council today conducting a joint operation targeting fly tippers and illegal waste collectors. Multiple vehicles were stopped and issued with advisory notices and 1 vehicle seized for no insurance. Please make sure if you have someone collecting your waste, they are reputable and have the correct licenses to do so. If not, you could end up responsible and be prosecuted.
