Day 12: Mark Your Property – Even Santa Keeps a List 🎅

As Christmas Eve arrives and we prepare for the big day, we want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at North Yorkshire Police – Craven 🎄🌟

While Santa’s busy delivering presents, it’s a great time to think about keeping yours safe. Marking and registering your property is one of the best ways to protect it from theft and increase the chances of it being returned if its ever lost or stolen.

Register your bikes 🚲 – Visit The National Cycle Database | BikeRegister website and register your new and old bikes. Record frame numbers and keep track of your two-wheeled treasures.

Sign up with Immobilise ✍ – The UK’s National Property Register helps you securely record details of valuables like electronics, jewellery, and tools. Visit www.immobilise.com to register your items for free.

Engrave your items 🖊 – We have a property marking machine, known as Dot Peen. The machine is used to engrave a unique number on precious items which can then be uploaded to the Immobilise website. Keep an eye out for our next property marking event.

🎁 Top Tip: Just like Santa checks his list twice, take a moment to double check your property records. It could save you a lot of trouble later!
