Scam alert


We are aware of a scam circulating in your area. 
 

Stroud Police are warning the public to be on their guard following a report of a distraction theft in Tesco Stroud. This type of distraction theft take place in busy supermarket car parks .
 

In this case the the victim was approached by a female asking for a donation for  a children's charity . The female distracted the victim with some paperwork & a clip board  and this is when the £100 cash was believed to be stolen .

The offenders often targeted vulnerable customers and then take advantage of their good nature to support charities trying to distract them .

Please report any suspicious behaviour to us. 

 

Please help us raise awareness of this scam by informing your elderly or vulnerable relatives, friends and neighbours.
