⏰ Well with only 30 minutes to go - although it's definitely a Jinx, here's the timeline for us on the DV car tonight! 18:45 - 19:30 - Reported to Sergeant and briefed on any incidents on the screen. There was one domestic incident on a P1 and one already in custody for a domestic earlier. We checked our car over and headed out to the address, but no answer. As it was not an immediate incident it was left on screen for more attempts through the evening. P0 public order came in so we headed over to the area but other officers had arrived and sorted the incident before we got there! 19:30 - 20:30 - Mobile patrol, checked in on a DV victim from an incident a couple of days ago but they weren't home. Stopped a vehicle with a number of lights not working, drugs swipe and breath test negative so VDRS issued, giving the driver 14 days to get the issues fixed. 20:30 - 21:30 - Continued mobile patrol, stopped in with Santa from Deeside Round Table for some community engagement and shortly after seized an E-scooter in Queensferry. 21:30 - 22:30 - Stopped a vehicle that was driving a bit too slow and a bit all over the road, drugs swipe and breath test negative, new driver who was struggling with their confidence - advised to get some P Plates. Seized another E-scooter in Flint. 22:20 - 23:30 - Mobile patrol, one vehicle stopped for one light out and exceeding speed limit, drug and breath test negative, words of advice given! 00:00 - Now- Immediate incident in Holywell information was a bit scarce, male found with injuries. He needed medical care, so we dealt with his medical needs while other units set about finding out what had happened. We had to remain in hospital for an extended period and have just come away and travelled back. The investigation into the circumstances are ongoing so if you did witness anything please contact us and quote reference ; Q191694. I'm calling through to our decon service to have our car cleaned and writing this post, making sure I've written up anything I need too and decontaminating my kit before going home. #Multitasking 🚔 For the rest of the team, there were four P0 incidents - one which has resulted in an arrest for domestic offences. Others were concern for safety incidents. The domestic incident came in while we were in Holywell so even though we had the "DV car" on, there were no other Domestic incidents for us to attend. Which is a good thing of course. You may have seen officers with patches on their bags etc, called Morale Patches which I imagine was a military thing long before we started doing it. Myself and one of my NPT Colleagues have a few patches as our bags are rarely seen by the public. Pictured is the morale patch I gifted him for Christmas 😂 I'll be signing off shortly - hopefully you find this sort of thing interesting, although it wasn't incredibly busy tonight. I'm back on Monday for my normal NPT duties! - Stay Safe 3604. |
