To help make you feel safe and secure this winter we would recommend taking the following steps:

 🔑Hide your keys away from the letterbox - there are devices that can be used to retrieve them if they are close enough.

🚪 Lock your windows and doors, even when you are in.

💍 Remove attractive items from window view, such as electronics, car keys, cash or jewellery.

🗓️  If you are planning to go away, make sure that the dates you are gone are not on display and can be seen through any windows

🎁 Break up gift packaging and don’t put your branded boxes next to the bin, advertising what’s inside your house.

📦 Make sure any deliveries are taken inside and out of sight as soon as possible. Anything left outside and unattended is opportunity for a burglar.

🔨 Any items that could be used to aid entry to your property, such as ladders and other tools, need to be stored away.

💡 Security lighting and house alarms are a great deterrent and installing them should be considered.
