WM NOW UPDATE

Dear Members,

Here’s a quick round up from me and the rest of the St Matthews neighbourhood policing team that’s happened the last few weeks.

What’s been happening

  • Neighbourhood officers from Team 1 have been keeping Walsall Town Centre Safe. They have conducted Knife Arch Operations deterring knife crime in the area and High-Vis Patrols. If you see us, come and say hello!
  • Parking can be an issue in certain areas. Officers from all teams have been focusing on cars parking on pavements causing obstruction for pedestrians. We have issued warnings to deter this going forward.
  • Team 2 have partnered with Staffordshire Police this week conducting cross boarder operations to tackle ASB alongside shoplifting on the regions transport network.
  • PCSO’s and PC’s on all Teams have conducted high-visibility patrols in hotspot areas in Walsall Town Centre for our communities, offering reassurance especially around the season to be jolly. There is only a few days left until the big day, so from all teams on St Matthews, we hope you have the best Christmas!
