Good afternoon, Hope you are all having a good week and looking forward to the Christmas break. I would just like to highlight some of the work we have been doing over the last week and some advice on how to stay safe over the festive period. We continue our efforts to reduce shoplifting across the area, this has resulted in a significant reduction in recorded offences last month. We have also increased patrols in and around the Reedswood Retail Park and continue to work closely with retailers. Don’t leave your car lonely this Christmas Thieves are checking the handles and checking them twice. They want to know if you’ve left it unlocked or alone to de-ice. We are still seeing a high number of vehicles being stolen every day across the West Midlands. Criminals are not just focusing on luxury cars – we have seen reports of all makes and models being stolen from driveways and car parks. There are quick and free ways to protect you and your vehicle right now: Our officers will be working around the clock throughout the festive period to keep you safe, but we need your help if we’re to stop criminals in their tracks. Our website is full of crime prevention advice to help keep you, your loved ones and your valuables safe this Christmas. Search WMP crime prevention or visit: www.westmidlands.police.uk/cp/crime-prevention We also have websites with detailed information around specific crimes, that might prove useful for you: For tips to keep your home safe, view: 27 Station Road | West Midlands Police To help keep your car secure, visit: Stealer Street Car Park | West Midlands Police For support around knife crime, view: Home - Life Or Knife - The choice is yours (west-midlands.police.uk) For advice and support around abuse, visit: Home - No Excuse for Abuse
Wishing you all joyous festive season from your local neighbourhood team. | ||||
