ICY ROADS

Happy New Year to you all 😊

Just a quick update on roads around your areas.

Due to the heavy rain recently, the zero temperatures and widespread frost, the roads are extremely icy.

Please be mindful of the driving conditions, especially around the rural areas.

Patrolling around this evening there are pockets of water drifting off fields which obviously is turning to ice, and the gritters will only put their resources on the main roads.

The outskirts of Rosliston near to the Forestry, there is progression of ground works being carried out, due to the continuous flooding on this main stretch of road, so please slow down as there is still alot of surface water and a very large deep pothole.

There is also a large icy patch as you drive through and out of Rosliston heading towards Linton, near to Bayleys.

Just also another reminder to not leave your vehicle unattended whilst defrosting, as you won't be insured if your vehicle is stolen.

Please take care everyone, and share this information if possible.

Thanks for your attention
