Parts of the district are now seeing the snow slowly melt, however we would still advise all motorists not to travel unless necessary.

Gritting teams have been working hard throughout the day to do what they can do to mitigate any further impact on the roads. 

If you do decide to travel - ensure you are prepared should you end up stranded. Warm clothing fully, charged phone and something to eat. 

Another weather warning for snow has been issued by the Met Office for tomorrow (Monday, 6 January).
