Good evening residents of Winchester;
Following on from my previous Hampshire Alert regarding a proposed burglary safeguarding meeting, after discussion and help from several members of the community, I have been able to source two venues to host two meetings.
Tuesday 21st January 18:30 – Badger Farm Community Centre SO22 4QB (next to Sainsbury’s Supermarket) Wednesday 22nd January 11:00 – St Luke’s Church, Stanmore SO22 4BX (Mildmay Street, at the bottom of Battery Hill)
The topics of the meeting will include; As the DNO for the Winchester City South beat, I have picked two venues within my patch, however depending on the success and response from the meetings, my colleagues and I are happy to branch out to the rest of the City, and rural areas further afield.
The first meeting will hopefully allow those working 9-5 office hours the opportunity to come, while the second meeting is for those more comfortable with a daytime event. There will be no difference in content between the two, so no one misses out!
There is ample parking at Badger Farm Community Centre in the Sainsburys Car Park (2 hour free parking limit which I don't expect to go over) however St Luke's Church I expect will be more difficult. Please consider the good bus transport links that Winchester offers prior to arrival.
I am aware that not everyone will be able to attend the events planned, and for this reason I will look into getting a pre-recorded “Teams” or “Zoom” video sent out after the dates, so everyone has the opportunity to see the presentation.
If anyone has any questions or concerns, please contact me on my email address william.andrews@hampshire.police.uk
See below and attached a poster for the event which you may spot while out and about. I am more than happy for people to share them amongst friends and neighbours!
We look forward to meeting you.
Thank you
