Good afternoon, 

Earlier today, myself and my colleague PC Eyre-Jackson conducted proactive speed enforcement checks on the Alkham Valley Road prior to entering the village of Alkham. This was within the 40mph stretch of road heading in the direction of Folkestone. Offending drivers were stopped in Glebelands and dealt with for necessary traffic offences. 

We issued four tickets for speeding offences and also one driver was reported for driving without third party insurance. 

We will return to this location and carry out further unannounced checks with colleagues from the Community Safety Unit over the coming weeks and months. 

Our presence is to ensure drivers keep to the specified speed limit and promote road safety within our community. Please feel free to share this message.
