Dear residents of Stechford & Yardley North Neighbourhood Team
Numerous patrols have been conducted at Stechford Retail Park regarding reported shop thefts and pleased to say working closely with all business's we have seen a reduction in crime.
We have recently set up a Business Watch at Stechford Retail Park with all traders and are working closely with them regarding their issues.
Patrols have been continuing at the Yew Tree in relation to vehicles parking on the Zig Zag's close to the Zebra Crossing and if seen parked on these you will receive a ticket !!
We are still receiving reports of vehicles being stolen and at the top are Key Less vehicles,,,,,, Keyless car fobs are an increasingly common feature of modern vehicles, allowing proximity access and push button ignition unfortunately, as the design of vehicles have modernised so too have the methods of the thieves that target them. Tech - savvy criminals are using signal boosting devices to amplify the proximity signal of a fob that is inside a property, while an accomplice waits next to the vehicle ready to open the door. This is sometimes referred to as relay attacks and this method is quick, silent and allows the easy theft of vehicles and valuables. Please Invest in a Defender Signal Blocker Pouch or contact myself for more details
We are still looking for Street Watch Volunteers who do some fantastic work in and around the community and you have probably seen them around, Just a couple of hours a month is all that is required.
If Interested please contact me on the following …..kenneth.walters@westmidlands.police.uk
Kind Regards PCSO K. Walters Stechford & Yardley North Neighbourhood Team | ||||
