Newchurch Women's Institute Visit and the upcoming Local Engagement Meeting in Lydd.

Hello all.

I was lucky enough to be invited to the monthly meeting of the Newchurch Women's Institute which I attended this evening (7th).

I took up a lot of their precious time wittering on about community policing on the Marsh but they didn't throw me out, fall asleep or start heckling so I think I got away with it!!

Many of you are aware that us Beat Officers hold monthly surgeries, my colleague, PC James Hockless's next one is on the 24th January 13:00-14:00 at the Dymchurch Parish Council Office, Orgarswick Avenue, Dymchurch.

Polite reminder that the surgeries are on a first come first served basis but don't worry because if lots of people attend we don't mind if the surgery runs over the hour slot unless we've got a prior appointment or if necessary, we can arrange to see you another time.

Although we hold monthly surgeries, there is also a quarterly Local Engagement Meeting (L.E.M) which is open to everyone across the Folkestone and Hythe District, the last one was in Hawkinge and the next one is being held at the Lydd Town Council (Guild Hall) on 14/01/2025 between 18:30-20:30.

Thank you.

Steve.
