Your Weekly Bablake Update

Weekly Update from your local Bablake NPT

Dear Members

Here’s your weekly update from myself and the rest of the team.

What’s Been Happening

. Burglaries

Absolutely none reported 😊

Keep doing what you have been to keep your properties safe.

You can mark all property with a UV marker making it easier for lost or stolen property to be returned should the worst happen. It is also a good idea to keep a record of where you marked the property and note down any serial numbers. You can register valuables at www.immobilise.com

. Vehicle Crime

Two vehicle crime reports this week.

A vehicle on Beake Ave had its number plates stolen. Offenders usually go onto use these on another vehicle to commit crime. This way the vehicle cannot be identified.

A vehicle was stolen from Greens Road as well. Unknown how the offenders gained entry to the car as there were no signs to suggest that damage was caused to do so and the victim still has the keys.

If you have a keyless entry car remember to store your keys in a Faraday pouch, this prevents the signal being picked up.

. In other News

Local officers have arrested a prolific shoplifter who was causing issues for local businesses. Another one down. He was also issued with a CBO (Community Behaviour Order). This has conditions on to stop him entering certain areas, if he does he can be arrested again.

Officers stopped a car under the Misuse of Drugs act. Driver stopped and searched but nothing found this time.

A male was also arrested for possessing an offensive weapon. Carrying weapons is not a good idea and will get you arrested.

A resident spotted males acting suspiciously around a property on their road and called us. When officers attended, what did they find????? Another cannabis factory. Over 100 plants found inside.

If you have any information about crime in your area you can let us know 100% anonymously by contacting CRIMESTOPPERS 0800 555 111

Local police keep in regular contact with street watch members to share information and work in partnership with you.
If you are interested in taking part in a Streetwatch within the Babalake area you can contact the Holbrook, Radford, Sherbourne & Bablake team on holbrookandradford@westmidlands.police.uk
