A QUICK UPDATE FROM THE HILLFIELDS NEIGHBOURHOOD TEAM

09/01/24

OVER THE PAST FORTNIGHT YOUR LOCAL NEIGHBOURHOOD TEAM HAVE:

Completed a drugs warrant on Hillfields estate. Drugs warrants disrupt organised crime and make the area a safer place to live.

Completed a joint parking operation with Coventry council at the Frederick bird academy, this is to keep our children safe from harm as they attend school. Can I please remind parents that the zig zag lines are there to keep the children safe.

Made a good arrest. Local officers have arrested an offender in possession of prohibited weapon after committing a robbery. We are glad to say this offender has been charged with the offence and will be attending court.

Op Silent night. “We hope you all had a good Christmas.” Your local Neighbourhood team have been supporting other policing departments with regards to Op silent night. This was an annually run campaign tackling increased night time disorder over Christmas. Op silent night is designed to keep our residents safe whilst they are out enjoying the festive period. Your local NHT completed regular high vis patrols and static van locations of an evening over the holidays.

NEXT WEEKS PLANS:

Your local Neighbourhood team will be out and about engaging in the community, working with the local schools and community centres.

We are also going to be completing numerous targeted Guardian patrols. Guardian patrols are patrols of highlighted repeat crime areas using statistics and analysis. These statistics highlight the best times and locations for high visibility patrols in order to deter and detect crime.

Please note your local neighbourhood team do have much more proactive police work in the pipe line however it would be detrimental to our upcoming investigations and operations to share this information at this time. We will however try to share the results post event via this newsletter.
