You said we did: Drugs warrant

Dear residents,

Four people have been arrested after officers carried out two warrants at addresses in Brookside, which are believed to be linked to drugs supply. The warrants were carried out by Brookside Safer Neighbourhood Team, with the assistance of South Safer Neighbourhood Team, Task Force, Proactive CID, dog handlers and the Child Exploitation Team.

The first warrant was carried out at an address in Brackenfield on Tuesday (January 7), where class A and class B drugs were found at the property along with a small amount of cash. Two men, aged 22 and 27, were located at the address and arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.

The second warrant was executed yesterday (Wednesday 8 January) at an address on Blakemore, where class B drugs were discovered. A man, aged 35 and a woman, aged 33, who were at the address were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.

All four people who were arrested have since been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
