Good evening Resident, We hope you are having a great start to the New Year - here is an update with what has been going on in your area this week.
Love your community meeting - Spring Vale This evening I have attended the ‘Love Your Community’ Meeting (previously known as PACT) at Lanesfield Methodist Church attended by members of the council and local residents. We discussed local issues and concerns in the Spring Vale area ranging from concerns of drug dealing to parking issues around Hill Avenue Primary School. We have taken notes and listened to the concerns raised in the meeting as well as the council and we will all work together to help prevent these concerns and issues. We do try and encourage residents to report any criminal activity to the Police via 101 or online and if an emergency 999. LYC meetings coming up for you to attend for your area - 14th January 2025, 1 til 3pm - Ettingshall North - Police Van 16th January 2025, 6 til 8pm - Blakenhall, Bob Jones Community Centre
School Parking A reminder to park sensibly when parking around the schools and be mindful of the surrounding residential properties, we are having a lot of parking issues around school times. These issues including obstructing pavements and driveways which can result in a ticket. It is also for the safety of the children attending school so please can we be more mindful around school times. We will be increasing patrols around the schools to keep this under control and the council will be organising for traffic wardens to attend locations where issues are raised.
Frosty Mornings Finally, just another little reminder for the frosty mornings as the cold weather is still upon us.. please be vigilant and DO NOT leave your vehicle unattended while defrosting. We have been doing some safety reassurance patrols with the Icy mornings and in total and we have spoken to 19 different vehicle owners in the area. Including 10 just this morning, vehicle theft has increased this past week in the Wolverhampton area on mornings from people leaving vehicles unattended.
Have a fantastic weekend and be safe.
