Good evening everyone, 

Firstly, I wanted to let you know that on 10/01/2025 The Priory CE Academy launched their Safer School Community project. Over the past few weeks the school and I have been working on problem solving school parking with the aim of ensuring that children and their families can arrive for and leave the school safely. 

To succeed in this, we need the help of the community, and I would like to encourage everyone to support the school on achieving their aims through this brilliant project. 

If you have any ideas or suggestions on how we can make our roads safer, both the school and I would be grateful for the help – so don’t hesitate in contacting either the school or myself.  

 Principle Jen Cunliffe has said the following regarding the project ….

 Today is the launch of our Safer School Community Project. Priory staff, Trentham Pre-school, Local Police, St Bart's Trust, Local Counsellors and most importantly Priory pupils will be working together to ensure that the area surrounding Priory is as safe as it can possibly be.

Today marks Phase 1 of the Safer School project - where with the support of our pupils, we will raise the profile of safe parking, consider the impact of unsafe parking and reward our Priory community for being safe and considerate of our neighbours.

The Safer School Committee will meet regularly to evaluate the improvements, before agreeing actions for Phase 2 of the project, next academic year.

Pupils from Nursery to Year 6 will be making posters to be displayed on each side of the school to address this very important contextual Safeguarding issue.

Police Street Surgery updates

Tomorrow (12/01/25) there will be two Street surgeries…  

15:00 - 15:15pm Florence Road.

1900- 19:15pm Biscay Grove 

 What is a Police Street Surgery? A street surgery is where I will be present in a specific location where any members of the public are welcome to speak to me about any neighbourhood issues that they would like the Neighbourhood Policing Team to be aware of, or if you just want to say hello.

11/01/2025 - Today I posted 250 letters promoting the Smart Alert system to addresses in the Hanford area. I'll be visiting many more addresses in the near future. A big welcome to those who signed up today and throughout this week, and as always a big thank you for stopping to talk to me on what has been a very cold week.  Oh…and I wanted to share one of my favourite views on the area…
