Theft From Motor vehicles

Last night, on the White Ash estate, South Normanton, PCSO's conducted an operation where they have walked around the estate trying car doors to see if they are unlocked and then reporting it to the owners. Within the first 5 cars, 3 where left unlocked! This was highlight how easy it is to gain access to insecure vehicles and make people aware to not leave any valuables in their vehicles. This has obviously caused quite the stir on the estate with residents and is lovely to see neighbours looking out for each other! While this a preventative measure, we are also investigating recent criminal reports of theft from motor vehicles in the area.
