Good Evening Everyone 

I am sending out this weekly update & its our first for 2025!

I hope that you have all had a nice Festive Period & New Years Celebrations. This New Years Eve I assisted with Policing in Loughborough Town Centre, which was a first for me and thankfully uneventful, just very windy and cold.

You will have already been updated on the new Beat Priorities via my Sgt in another message. These are Theft from Vehicles, Residential Burglaries & Drug misuse.

A few key events of note are:

# The Arrest of a Domestic Perpetrator for several offences relating to Violence towards their Ex Partner with a knife. This person has now been sent to Prison. 

# The Arrest of a prolific Shoplifter, who was wanted for several thefts within the local area and also the city centre.

# The Arrest of a person who had failed to appear at court regarding a Public Order Offence. Following their arrest they were taken to court to address the matter with the Magistrate.

# We have received 5 reports of Burglaries at Homes since the start of 2025. These in the majority are due to the property being insecure. We please ask that everyone checks the address is secure, as otherwise this creates a very easy option for burglars. 

The next beat surgeries are:

Sunday 12th Jan - 6pm to 10pm - Bede Park

Monday 13th Jan - 4pm to 6pm - Student Roost - Upperton Road
