Dear Resident

It has been a busy week for officers on the Melton Town South Beat. We have mostly been assisting the town centre beat officers with the burglaries and thefts that have taken place over the last few weeks. By working together, we have managed to secure 2 charges and a breach of court bail conditions charge against Shane Bunker and he has been remanded to prison until his court trial on the 20th of January.

PCSO Sal has also been:

Responding to a call surrounding concerns for safety for 5 people sliding across a frozen lake

Completing hi visibility patrols around a reported drug use spot

Completing hi visibility patrols around industrial estates having issues with burglary

Processing various pieces of intelligence on our internal systems

Signing people up to our Neighbourhood link system

We are aware of theft from vehicles on the beat too and PCSO Sal has been completing CCTV trawls to assist the investigations.
