Arrest Made in Stevenage

Dear Resident

Our police teams have started the new year in the way they intend to carry on – busy tackling drug related crime.

Harry Gibson, aged 21 and from Lothair Road in  Luton, was recently arrested after the car he was driving, came to the attention of Stevenage and North Herts response officers , whilst they were out on patrol last week.

Despite Gibson’s best efforts to evade them, his car was traced to the Asda car park, where he was arrested by our Operation Scorpion and Neighbourhood officers, on suspicion of drugs offences.

A further search in custody produced a quantity of concealed class A drugs and he also had a quantity of class B drugs on him.

Gibson was subsequently charged with possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply and possession of Class B drugs.

He appeared at Hatfield Magistrate’s Court last Friday, where he pleaded guilty to the offences and was remanded into custody.

He will appear at St Albans Crown Court on Friday 31 January for sentencing.

Please keep your information coming – it is vital in our fight against drugs!
