Do you know who is calling? ** Scam Warning**

We are advising members of the public to be vigilant after a spike of Courier Fraud incidents in Worcestershire where criminals claiming to be police officers or bank staffs are asking a victim to withdraw money from their bank account.

This week, a man has been arrested for fraud offences after attempting to collect a 70 year old woman’s bank card off her after he claimed to be a Lloyds Bank fraud investigation department.

We know that many of these fraudsters work part of a larger organised crime groups. Please remember, the police or your bank will NEVER ask you to withdraw money, make payments, or share your bank details over the phone. If you receive such a call, it’s a scam.

➡️ What to do:

☎️ Hang up.

📵 Call the police using a different phone (landline or mobile) to verify.
