With apologies for the delay in this crime round up.

Burglary (attempted)

45250005329        13/1/2025    22:00  -  15/1/2025  09:00

Potters Crescent

The resident came home on the evening of the 13th and forgot to lock his car. The next day he realised his car had been rummaged through overnight, but the only thing missing was a spare front door key.  As a precaution against the key being used in a future burglary, he put the security chain on the door. This had been the right precaution as the next morning it was obvious that someone had tried to gain access into the property through the now chained front door.

Burglary (aggravated)

45250003980                    11/1/2025   16:00  - 17:18
Near the junction of Grange Road and Lime Crescent
Two males, armed with a knife and a piece of wood have entered the dwelling. Police were called when an affray broke out between the intruders/burglars and the residents. Police arrested the intruders/burglars on arrival.

Burglary

45250003025                    9/1/2025   03:42  - 03:45
Pit Farm Road

Burglars climbed over a 2 metre high gate to access a (locked?) garage and from inside the garage, a turquoise 27.5 woman’s Rockrider E-ST900 E bike valued at about £1700 was taken. Also taken was an Orbea Rise H30 alloy e-bike valued at about £4000

Burglary (attempted)

45250004797                    14/1/2025   03:00
Boxgrove Avenue
Residents were woken up in the night by noises they couldn’t identify. They then went downstairs to investigate, taking the investigation outside to find two burglars in the process of breaking in. The burglars then ran past the male resident who grabbed one of them and held him (perhaps not to be recommended) but when the other burglar realised his mate was being held by the resident, he went back to assist him and joined in the affray. The resident was hit hard with long torch and decided to let them go, but was able to give a good description of the pair to Police.

Burglary

45250003687        10/01/2025    10:30    -    10/01/18:30

Hawthorn Road

A CCTV camera was disabled (ripped off a fence post!) and then a side passageway gate was forced open. Entrance to the house was by forcing open the back door and then a search of the master bedroom where a safe was found and also broken into. In the safe was found and taken a gold coin and a gold ring but amazingly, the £200 also in the safe, was not taken!

Burglary

45250003963        10/01/2025    23:45    -    11/01/08:00

Linden Way
Two male suspects have climbed over a garden fence and have left two clear sets of footprints across the frosty grass, to a downstairs wooden window and have then proceeded to break in through this window causing damage. Something may have disturbed the burglars, as it didn’t seem as though they gained access and nothing was stolen. The resident at home only became aware of the activity in the morning.

Burglary

45250003838        10/01/2025    17:50    -    19:20

Farm Lane

A well equipped pair of burglars, with bolt cutters, have cut the locking bolts securing the patio doors on this property. It is assumed they then went straight to the master bedroom in their search for gold jewellery. Two gold necklaces were found and taken. One bizarre detail of this burglary was that the man of the house was home during this robbery, but was working in the shed in the garden!

The Police have linked the above three burglaries together and obtained some CCTV footage of the suspects stopping their car and getting out in Hawthorn Road. Their identities were immediately recognised by the Police review team and now arrested on suspicion of burglary.

End.
