I thought you might want to know that we have charged a man after a woman was sexually assaulted in Birmingham on Thursday (16 Jan).

Alan Milburn of no fixed address, has been charged with sexual assault after a woman was sexually assaulted in Cherry Street.

The 42-year-old has been remanded to appear before Birmingham Magistrates court today.

Following the crime, images of a suspect were circulated on social media. These should now be deleted to ensure a fair trial and appropriate court action.
