Dear Resident, 

I though you'd want to know that we’ve charged a 15-year-old boy with possessing a samurai sword in Walsall.

The boy, who can’t be named for legal reasons, is to appear at Dudley Magistrates Court on 5 February for a first hearing.

He has been charged in connection with possessing a knife blade in a public place.

It follows an arrest in the early hours of Thursday morning in the Bentley area.

Under 25 Serious Youth Violence is a Walsall LPA priority.
