Appeal to trace victim of an attack in Bordesley Green

Dear Resident,

We need your help to identify a young man who was attacked in Bordesley Green on Thursday (16 January).

Shortly before 3pm that day, we started receiving 999 calls reporting an attack on Pretoria Road. Multiple men, in three cars were involved.

CCTV captures the attack and we’ve been working hard to identify those involved by speaking to witnesses, reviewing hours of CCTV to trace people’s movements and forensically examining items. Work is ongoing to find those responsible.

As part of our investigation, a stolen car and weapons have been recovered. Late last night we also arrested a 26-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy from Stechford. They both remain in custody.

We now need to speak to the victim to check on his condition.
