On Saturday 18th January 2025, officers from the Neighbourhood policing team conducted a day of action under Operation MINDSTOKE in the Castleford area. Our officers worked with our roads policing colleagues with drone capability and the districts off road motorcycle team. Results from the day are as follows:

A vehicle (pictured below) was seized after it was located abandoned, left insecure.

A vehicle was seized; the driver reported for driving without insurance.

A vehicle was seized, the driver reported for driving without a licence.

Three persons and a vehicle were searched under the misuse of drugs act. One adult male was issued an out of court disposal for being in possession of a class A drug. The drug was seized for destruction.

Operation MINDSTOKE is Wakefield districts initiative to reduce the number of killed and seriously injured persons on our districts roads and to target road crime and the criminal use of the roads including the targeting of organised crime groups and those engaging in county lines.
