Yesterday, while out on patrol in Castleford, PCSOs Matthews and Chippendale spotted a known prolific shoplifter who was wanted.

They acted quickly to detain the individual until officers arrived to make an arrest. The suspect was taken into custody for a shoplifting offence and two breaches of a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO). A CBO is issued by the court to convicted individuals and prohibits them from specific actions or locations, such as entering certain shops or areas.
