We have received several complaints from concerned parents/guardians and local residents regarding the speed of vehicles being driven in and around St Margarets primary school and the manner of parking around dropping off and picking up times.

The school is based in a residential area there are yellow lines and ‘no parking’ signs outside the school.   

I have requested that the lines are repainted and more signs put in place.

Local residents also reported that their driveway is being blocked and they cannot leave the drive. This is also an offence for which I will be issuing tickets for and in some circumstances, have vehicles seized.

Thank you to the drivers that moved their vehicles today when I requested.   Your assistance was greatly appreciated.

Could I please ask if you are one of these drivers that is parking on the yellow lines, no parking areas or residents driveways, to please observe the parking and speed restrictions – you would be devastated if you ran over and killed a young child.

Remember this is directly impacting YOUR children!
