Crime Report Kirkby in Ashfield and the Rural Villages for the week to midnight Wednesday 22 January 2025


Officers from the Kirkby Neighbourhood Policing Team will be holding beat surgeries on the following dates.

Moor Market Cafe, 3-5 Low Moor Road,NG17 7BE on Thursday 30 January 11:30am – 12:30pm

Kirkby Leisure Centre, Hodgkinson Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, on Friday 31st January at 5:30pm. 

Moor Market Cafe, 3-5 Low Moor Road, NG17 7BE on Friday 7 February at 1:00pm – 2:00pm 

The Wild Rabbit Cafe, Portland Park, Kirkby In Ashfield on Friday 14 February at 9:30am.

At 6.27pm on Thursday 16 January in Little Oak Drive, Annesley, travellers forced a gate into the yard of an industrial unit and then broke into the building and started ripping out cable and loading it into a van.

Criminal Damage

At 5.02pm on Thursday 16 January in Holly Hill Road, Selston, two males in balaclavas smashed two windows in a property before running off down a jitty between numbers 32 and 34.

Between 2.00pm on Saturday 18 and 11.00am on Monday 20 January in Fairhaven, Kirkby in Ashfield, the paintwork of a white Audi A5 car was scratched and a window smashed.

At 9.48pm on Monday 20 January in Diamond Avenue, Kirkby in Ashfield, a front window was smashed, a back gate damaged and the front door kicked leaving boot marks.

At 2.55pm on Sunday 19 January in Ellis Street, Kirkby in Ashfield, a report of ten young teenagers, 13/14 year old, causing issues for the staff of Boyes and Superdrug, throwing things at customers in and around the Precinct. All white males with their hoods up or wearing balaclavas, black or navy clothing and riding pushbikes.

At 3.38pm on Sunday 19 January in Lowmoor Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, a report of around nine 13/14 year old youths running in and out of ‘Boyes’ shop causing the staff to lock the door.

At 7.44pm on Monday 20 January in Lowmoor Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, a group of eight to ten 12.14 year old youngsters were reported to be banging on a window at the Kirkby in Ashfield Health Centre.
