Auto Crime patrols. 

SNT are working all hours of the day and night to target vehicle thieves as well as holding crime prevention initiatives such as tool marking/van security. 

Vehicle enters South Derbyshire and triggers our in car ANPR due to the vehicle being used in crime in Derbyshire and Staffordshire. The driver quickly disappears.

After biding our time and waiting it out, vehicle is re sighted quickly bringing it to a stop- passenger is out and running before the vehicle has come to a full stop, however the driver’s opportunity to do the same is prevented by us blocking his door.

Driver quickly detained with the vehicle found to be false plates and stolen from Birmingham. He is arrested for theft of motor vehicle, no licence and no insurance by PC Boniface and PC Swindell and charged to court for the Derbyshire offences - passed onto West Midlands Police / Staffs Police for theirs.
