A man has been arrested after we found an estimated £1,000-worth of cannabis, scales and a mobile phone following proactive searches in Rugeley.
At about 3.50pm on Monday (27 January), officers stopped a group of people on Springfield Road. We detained one man and seized his phone at the scene.
We then searched an address in the area and found the drugs and items, along with another phone and £265 in cash.
A 25-year-old man, from Rugeley, has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis and supply a controlled class B drug (cannabis).
He has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Proactive officers in Staffordshire are continuing to target drug supply in our communities as part of ongoing efforts to disrupt the criminal gangs responsible.
