Yesterday afternoon, a large kitchen knife was found by a tent in some woodland near to Raygill off Pennymoor Road. The knife had been found by three children shortly after school who promptly alerted their headteacher. The knife has since been recovered and disposed of in one of our knife disposal banks (found at St Editha's Church, Sacred Heart Church, St Martin's Church and Tamworth Fire & Police Station). We have also been out and observed the area which is evidently in use as there is litter, other rubbish and, worryingly, large cannisters of nitrous oxide have been found at the location. The tent had previously been in use by a rough sleeper who has since been remanded following their arrest in recent weeks. Judging by the contents inside we do not believe it to currently be in legitimate use. We will be requesting that the site be cleared and will add it to our anti-social behaviour (ASB) hotspot list. To report ASB, please contact us on 101 or via the online form or Live Chat at www.staffordshire.police.uk | ||||
