Deployment update

Good afternoon all,

The Ringwood team have been busy dealing with incidents over the last few days. We responded to a shoplifting in progress incident in Ringwood and on arrival established that the suspect had left the area. However after conducting an area search officers spotted the same vehicle parked in a disabled bay. It also appeared that a set of number plates had been stuck over the originals....

Needless to say the result is evident in the attached picture. The driver was also reported for driving with no insurance and not in accordance with a licence.

We have also in recent days:

- Sent court dates to a young male who will be appearing in youth court in the coming days for theft offences.
- Located a stolen vehicle and sent it to be forensically examined.
- Stop and searched a male known to shoplift after he appeared to evade police.
- Carried out speed watch on Gorley Rd and Hightown Hill after requests were made by local residents.
- Located a high value electric mountain bike hidden in woodland and that had been reported stolen from a burglary in Dorset.
- Carried out further high visibility patrols in the Furlong, Ringwood to tackle ongoing ASB issues.
- Issued a community resolution to an additional young person for shoplifting with a condition to engage with youth services.

We hope you are all having a good week and enjoy the upcoming weekend.
