Drug Driver caught at the wheel!

Our last shift on Sunday saw Beat Officers stop a vehicle on Station Road, Ashford because of its poor driving. The driver immediately admitted to being under the influence of Ketamine as well as going on to fail a roadside drugs wipe for Cannabis.

A search of the car resulted in a small package being located, which we suspect to be further evidence of Class B drugs. The driver was arrested and taken to custody where a blood sample was taken and will be sent to a lab for testing to show the quantities of Drugs in their system.

If you have concerns about the level of driving yku have seen or you think someone is impaired through drink/drugs, then make sure you report it to the Police and Officers can be deployed to it and look to get them off the road.
