Dear Residents

This is just a quick reminder to check you have locked your vehicles.

Over the last week we have received reports of an offenders walking along vehicles checking vehicle doors. Thankfully most appeared to be locked and we have received no reports of anything being stolen by these offenders.

Please take this opportunity to double check your vehicles.

We urge all residents to remain alert and vigilant and to report any suspicious activity immediately on 101 or 999. 
We also urge all residents to ensure that vehicles are locked before going to bed. 

Please consider getting into the habit of clicking “lock” on the remote, or checking your car doors as part of your bedtime locking-up routine.

Zap your car, check your doors & sleep well. 
 

Finally it is also worth periodically going around your car physically checking that all locks on your vehicle are engaging and that all doors including the boot are locking when the car is locked as lock mechanisms and motors do occasionally fail.
