The Bridlington Neighbourhood Team has recently attended a Parish Council Meeting in Bempton and Buckton Villages.

This was a very well attended event where everybody there wanted to raise the concern of speeding through their villages with some clearly travelling at grossly excessive speeds. The speed through both the villages is 30mph at a maximum.

The Neighbourhood Team have been and will be in the villages conducting speed checks in areas identified by the Parish as been hot spots for speeding. These will consist of overt speed checks with a big sign telling drivers their speed and also covert tactics where offenders identified as speeding will be prosecuted.

The Neighbourhood Team will be working with the Parish Council, local elected Councillors and PCC's Office to continue addressing this issue.
