Crime Report Kirkby in Ashfield and the Rural Villages for the week to midnight Wednesday 29 January 2025


Officers from the Kirkby Neighbourhood Policing Team will be holding beat surgeries on the following dates.

Kirkby Leisure Centre, Hodgkinson Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, on Friday 31st January at 5:30pm. 

Moor Market Cafe, 3-5 Low Moor Road, NG17 7BE on Friday 7 February at 1:00pm – 2:00pm 

The Wild Rabbit Cafe, Portland Park, Kirkby In Ashfield on Friday 14 February at 9:30am.

Between 5.00pm on Wednesday 22 and 6.45am on Thursday 23 January in Warren Avenue, Annesley, a hole was cut in the door of a van to gain entry and power tools were stolen.

At 11.19am on Friday 24 January in Main Road, Jacksdale, a report of an electric bike being ridden on the recreation ground for most of the morning resulting in lots of tracks and sludge being churned up. 

At 7.55pm on Friday 24 January in Lowmoor Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, a report of eight or nine males, age 13/15 years, kicking the shutters of the shop next door to Ladbrooks. No damage was done. A female who was drunk was lying on the ground nearby.

On Saturday 25 January in the Ashfield Precinct, Kirkby in Ashfield, a group of youngsters were in Subway throwing ice cubes around the store, being abusive to the staff and causing flooding in the upstairs toilets. This is an ongoing issue which happens most afternoons. 

Report at 6.34pm on Saturday 25 January at the Acacia Recreation Ground, Acacia Avenue, Annesley Woodhouse. Earlier in the day his son was on the park playing with friends when they were approached by four males, 8/13 years old, two wearing balaclavas, who were intimidating. They briefly took his sons bike but returned it and then kicked his football across the park.

At 10.15am on Sunday 26 January in Sandhill Road, Underwood, an Asian male with a beard arrived and unloaded a bright blue and white off road bike and drove onto the Annesley Hall estate. An hour later two more bikes were were reported on the Annesley Hall estate near the underpass heading towards the A611.
