Vehicle Crime

Last night (29/01/2025) PCSO Gray and PSCO Shale conducted an operation around the Somercotes area regarding vehicle crime prevention.

The local SNT alongside the Derbyshire Police Cadets walked down streets trying car doors to see if they were insecure and then reporting it to the owners to make them aware and to make sure they are double checking their car door is locked and the car is secure.

The aim of this operation was to highlight the importance of ensuring your car is locked and to remind people to not leave any valuables in their car.

It was great to work with the cadets around the Somercotes are.

They will be coming to each area on Amber Valley so keep a look out for them!
