Hello All! This evening in the Newbold area, 22 of Chesterfields finest Police Cadets engaged in a very successful car theft prevention session following an uptick in car thefts in the county. They patrolled the Newbold area, and tried car doors to find any that were unlocked and spoke to those who's car was vulnerable. Nearly 400 doors were tested with 33 cars found to be unlocked. Prevention is key with car thefts and burglaries. Please make sure all doors and windows are secure in your cars and homes. If you see any suspicious behaviour in your streets, it is always best to report it. It will not always be a Cadet! Have a good evening and stay safe, Newbold Safer Neighbourhood Team |
