Weekly update from the Oldbury Neighbourhood Policing team


Dear Resident,

 

 

Here’s a quick round up from me and the rest of the Oldbury Neighbourhood team. 

 

 

 

  • PCSOs have been into Burnt Tree Primary to continue our junior PCSO program. This week we spoke about the importance of roads signs and the meaning of these.  

  •  

  • Oldbury neighbourhood team have had a meeting with local businesses and people from the council regarding parking. Together we have come up with plans to try and resolve this moving forward. 

  •  

     

  • PCSO’S have held a joint drop-in Surgery at Brandhall Library along with all three local councillors. Thank you to all those that attended. The next Surgery will be held on Saturday 22nd January 11:00 – 12:30hrs, Brandhall Library.

  • Oldbury town officers have conducted a police surgery at the council House library Alongside John Greenway Street watch coordinator for Sandwell.  

  •  

     

     

     

     

  • PCSO’S have held a Police Surgery at Bleakhouse Library. 

  •  

     

     

     

     

  • Crime prevention advise.  

  • You might not have thought about… 

  •   

     

  • If you have a pet, consider securing the cat flap at night or removing keys that can be reached via a cat flap.  

  •   

  • Removing keys from your doors, especially doors with glass panels, is very important. Most locks are snapped or windows broken to gain access – keep keys out of sight. 

  •   

  • Keep your calendar away from prying eyes. Burglars will use this to understand your routine and learn when your home will be empty. 

  •
