BIKE THEFT INCREASE

Dear resident,

Please note that there has been an increase in BIKE THEFTS within the local community, especially in the SA1 area.

It is believed that offenders are attending the area on bikes themselves and acting suspiciously. They are then targeting other bikes, including using tools to cut chains/locks off.

If you are the owner of a bike, please where possible ensure when it is not being used, it is kept in a secure place for example in your property, garage or back garden to ensure these offenders have no access.

CCTV cameras can also act as a deterrent.

Please be VIGILANT and report any suspicious behaviour or theft incidents to 101/999 accordingly.

Your Local Neighbourhood Policing Team will be conducting regular hotspot patrols for reassurance and to deter theft.

Should you wish to speak to us regarding Crime prevention advice or any other issues within the community, please do not hesitate to contact:

PCSO 58365 Williams - 07773662918

PCSO 56713 Bushrod - 07811166760

Kind regards.
